Charter Publishing, an existing client of mine, asked me to update their site.
This was a good opportunity to do a simple and effective brochure site with ASP.NET MVC.
I have been lucky enough to be in on the MVC project from the beginning, my current contract has been keen on the new tech, and the web sites I am developing there are also using MVC. I love the total control it gives you over what is rendered and the excellent separation of view, business logic and data. Also with the adoption of jQuery by MS in the mix it's just brilliant.
Anyhoo, back to the new site...
It simply allows the company to show exactly what they do and who they do it for.
This means that from a brief meeting with an exchange of business cards or a quick mail shot the potential client can be directed to the site to browse at their leisure.
It allows potential clients to contact Charter Publishing any time via the site.
All in all a low pressure direct marketing ploy.
And it seems to have been well received too - rah!
